Concrete Patio pavers

This is the before Photo, I used the garden house to map out the new patio! This area is lower than both neighbors, so it was always wet! Of course I started this project last summer, and it happened to be the one week it rained non-stop for 7 days!!!
Went to my local Taylor rental for a grass fillet machine, and started cutting out the grass. As you can see once we fillet the grass, it did nothing but rain, it was actually fun to work in!

Then I headed over to Lowe's and picked up this mold, and bags of concrete. Once you mix the concrete and lay in mold it takes minutes to set and you can keep moving on.

Here is a close up with the sand and swept in between them

Instant patio! This area of the yard was always wet! We could never walk through without it sloshing, but now the problem is solved.

  1. How long did the process take you? I'm considering doing this same type of thing... also, do you have issues with the chairs being sturdy?

  2. It took the entire weekend once it stopped raining! The sand helped keep the chairs from being unstable..
